I was going to suggest the Colt.

according to the M&P website:
https://www.smith-wesson.com/firearms/mp-15-sport-ii
Quote
Compatible with most standard AR15 components and accessories

Although I am confused as to why you would need an extra clip......

"greedy", as compared to me - impatient (got the Colt, in hand, 2 hours after leaving the house)

Nothing tongue in cheek about the congrats, I think you made a good choice.

I like AR's, I got 3 of 'em.
Two of them are .mil surplus Colt uppers, my carbine is a milspec Daniel Defense.

I am probably as impatient as you are, when I want something,
I hate waiting.

The only thing that was tongue in cheek was the 2hrs? part.......

The only disagreement I think we had was the echo trigger....
and there is certainly nothing wrong with he trigger, seems to work well and gets great reviews.

I bid for and won the bidding for the Fostech Echo trigger - hopefully it'll be here this coming week.  will then get it to the Gunsmith at my LGS and have it installed and he and I will test fire it

life appears to be "good"

"the trigger" arrived today (a day late, thanks usps )

the "package" (AR, trigger, clips & ammo) are with the Gunsmith (and my oh my was he happy to get it - said he'd been waiting for "someone" to bring one in)

so, another "wait" begins - will get some telephone video when it's set up and running

picked up the AR and it's new Fostech Echo trigger this morning - Gunsmith said a bit of milling was needed (in the rifle) in order for it to "drop in" - he also burned some of the ammo that I left with him

I'm such a cheapskate that I'll wait until next Monday to shoot it, on 1/2 price Monday - won't be more than "pew pew" 'cause the range doesn't allow rapid fire - I'll have to wait on that until I get to a suitable outdoor range

meantime I'll be loading clips

did a short report on the AR/Binary trigger firing somewhere....?  but, this thing is awesome !  I managed to do a bunch of pew-pews at the local indoor range and a number of pew-pew-pew-pews but I didn't want to push their letting me "rapid fire" the thing

I want to "do" an ammo dump of a 30rd clip, just 1 time - my BIL has access to a private range over west of San Antonio that I'll visit - but, in the meantime, I'll just do the short bursts locally

this will now have a permanent place alongside the nightstand

but I've just gotta say.....if you ever have the chance to shoot with this set-up, do it
