Franchi Instinct L 20 Gauge
« on: June 11, 2018, 08:05:36 PM »
I just recently bought one in 20 gauge for my daughter to use in 4H competitions and wanted to know if anyone here has any prior dealings with them or advice?

Sorry, don't know anything about that shotgun but I do know that 4H Youth Shooting Sports are the best bar none. My grandson started in 4H when he was 11. There was every type of shotgun being used from Benelli to Winchester. Twelve to twenty gauge. Single shot, Side by Side, Over and Under and Auto. It's an outstanding program for everyone involved.
This gun is liberty; hold for certain that the day when you no more have it, you will be returned to slavery.

cbp210,

Oddly enough, I won one of those at a DU Dinner a few years ago. = My 1st cousin's wife wanted it so I gave it to her for her BD  & she LOVES it.
(Roseanne is all of about 62" tall & 100#.)
Franchi makes a NICE scattergun.
(I prefer the 12 gauge.)

yours, satx

Yes I think the 4H is the best thing for the youth shooting sport. My daughter started out at 8 doing BB gun and got Bronze in the State champions in 2015. She eventually wanted to get into real big guns and started with shotguns. She has gone to Whizbang and Sporting Clay matches this year and last and in her last shoot got fifth place out of 60 shooters. I encourage people if wanting training for their kids to put them in 4H programs.

Took it to the range and daughter loves it. She is 12 now and 5'4 so the gun works good for her.
