SIG P365
« on: January 10, 2018, 07:21:32 PM »
SIG announced a new 9mm subcompact pistol, the P365. 10 + 1, double stack but has a thinner fame & slide like a single stack. Grip looks a littler thinner to me than most in its class, 1" wide they claim. Magazines taper at the top like a double/single hybrid. Interesting, though personally I like DAO for carry. Just got a SIG P290RS in 9mm, fits in my pocket, fun to shoot. Great little carry gun for close threats. Discontinued for 2018.

There is a lot of talk about it from the Beretta Forum...

Not DA/SA, so no interest to me.

Nice looking little sub compact,, I just dont like the striker fired.

I have a pretty high opinion of the Sig 938 though.

doesn't have the capacity like this one does but there's just "something" about my 938 that makes me stick with it.....

I hope a local range gets one in as a demo. I'd really like to try before I buy.

this one is getting my interests up as well. Sig has pretty good reputation of quality guns. my reason is new carry gun, similar on size to the Bersa Thunder 380 i carry quite a bit. but something 9mm instead, with a little more capacity, and being lighter would not be unwelcome either. i have a few that on my list to check out and i just had to add this as well.

I used to think the same thing as well until I saw busykngt's thread about their performance thus far in the military sidearm competition:

I've never really liked SIG's offerings that much to begin with, so this new gun is gonna get passed up by me too.

Curse you CZ for spoiling me onto perfection. Now there's nothing really cool to shoot that I haven't already shot. :th_thicon_lol:

If only CZ would make an alloy framed single stack PCR, I'd buy 2 or 3.

the size, the weight, and the capacity are what i find appealing. now, i am one of those who likes for something new to be on the market and allow other new users to be the testers before i give huge consideration of buying one for myself. but, it is one that has made it to my list of replacements that i will be checking out.

Nothing about it to make me consider it over my M&P Shield 9, which is fantastic.

That's unfortunate, I wanted to look one over at some point later in the year.

That's too bad. I've had my 365-9-BXR3 for almost a month and over 500 rounds.

I will admit that I've seen signs of "primer drag". I don't know what that means for the longevity of the pistol on practical use.

I will say that it conceals about as well as my P938 in a Vedder holster with 12+1 rounds of persuasion.

I'm not going to treat it as a range toy or try to prove a torture test with it. It is now my EDC and I'll likely run about 50 rounds a month or less.

Well, I haven't kept up with the gun, since I was never really interested. Sig may have fixed the issues by now (thread is a few months old)

The issueS have not been fixed. Military Arms Channel did a piece a week or two ago about the sig 365. It failed.
