And the rifle is? Clean for sure but same caliber as the pistol?

See it now. Use an I-pad so some stuff is hard to see. Figured it was .45 Colt.

Going to pick up its little brother this afternoon. I'm going to shoot the L-Comp, my 357 Blackhawk and the newest Henry right after I pick it up.

I am also a huge fan of caliber matching sets pistol/rifle and so on. It just seems to be uncommon practice these days. I have been drooling over the thought a .357mag or .44mag combo for what seems like ages...But yea know, money is the only hurdle I have to overcome...  :icon_wink:

I've got to put in a plug for the Ruger No. 1.  I'm sort of a purist when it comes to rifles.  They need to be pretty and they need to be functional to the limit.  The old falling block action still has a role in modern sporting guns and it does that function flawlessly.  I own one presently, a 25-06 and I've previously owned a 6MM Remington and a .243.  You hunt a little differently when you only  have one round immediately available but I consider that a plus.  Yes, I've passed up shots that I might have tried if I had a repeater, but I don't regret it.  They're fine guns!
God doesn't want you to hunt with an ugly gun!

I am on the hunt for one Ruger
Model 77 .357 bolt action rifle.
When I find one at right cost and good condition I will snag it.
Just an I want gun.
