I note that your front page says 3 yard shooter. = Fwiw, a study done a few years ago by the USMS found that in COP vs. THUG shootouts, where ANYONE got hit by gunfire, were at an average of 8.75 FEET.
(The late & in his lifetime fairly well-known as a homicide detective, "Bullets Bob" McKay got his "macho cop nickname" because a thug, using a stolen TSMG, MISSED the detective 50 times at less than 10 yards. - The thug emptied the drum into the door, the wall, the floor, took down a light fixture & shot-up a parked car outside the motel but came no closer to "Bullets Bob" than about 3-4 feet. - I suspect Bob's wife DID have a "laundry problem" to deal with later. = CHUCKLE.)
That same study found that, absent one more long-guns in the gunfight, less than FIVE PERCENT of such gunfire at 25M resulted in bloodshed.
Also, since before WWII I can think of NO handguns that were manufactured that were NOT "drop safe".
