Which patch?
« on: April 09, 2015, 09:11:16 AM »
Option 1 -
Quote
I have a quote put together for you.  These prices are good for any quantity from 1 to 49 fully embroidered velcro backed patches.
First there is a $20 flat setup fee to digitize the art for the embroidery machine.
Velcro backed will be $14 per patch.  Quantity discounts do not come into play until you hit a quantity of  50. If you are interested in a quantity of 50 we can do better on the price per patch.
There will also be a $20 shipping charge.

Thanks for coming to us for a quote.  Just let me know how you would like to proceed.

Terry

Option 2 - Vinyl PVC patches.  There are the cheapest option at around between 5-7 bucks a patch, depending on the number ordered.  Here's the difference

Option 3 - Laser cut -
Quote
doing 100 patches would be your best bet one saving money. I've never done less than 50 with the company i use, & to do 20 the cost is so much more. All y patches are made right here in the USA i truly wish i could make your patch we really like it but i don't think the price i give you would be in the range you looking. you would be playing close to $10 for each patch,

if you want 100 it would be $255.00

i understand if you don't want that many i know you said 20 but i just can't touch that area, the least we would be able to do is 50 & the price is only a $5.00 difference so for 50 patches you would be at $250.

All of these will be Texas shaped patches with Velcro backing.  So who likes what, who for sure wants in, and how many do you want?  Mutiny can also cut our logo into a sticker.  So we can look into that as well.

How much are the PVC velcro backed?
Any pics of an actual patch from the laser cut option to see how they look physically?

Dom -
Q1 - Already answered, but it's $5-7 depending on quantity.
Q2 - No, this is all just digital mock up.  I haven't had anyone actually make a patch yet.

Thanks Jeb, I wasn't sure if the velcro option raised the price of the PVC.
As for an example of the laser cut, I just meant an example of any laser cut patch they have made as I'm not familiar with how laser cut patches look.

Ok, the laser cut option is just about the edges of the patch.  It's embroidered as well.  Here is the difference -

Patch on top has a threaded border while the patch on bottom has a laser cut border.

I can't really spot the difference in the picture, but he says it will look better with our particular design.  He does this daily, so I believe him.  Lol.

His explanation -

Quote
Merrow Edging (like you see in the top patch in the photo with the threaded border) - A merrow border or "loop stitch" border is great for patches that have a simple shape

& like the bottom patch you see in the photo
Heat Cut Edging - Heat cut borders are recommended on patches that have a complex shape. This type of border is also called a hot cut or laser cut edge.

Gotcha thanks..makes much sense.
I'd be cool with laser cut if we get enough people to buy in. Could take just 10 people tossing in $26 to get 5 patches each and then have 50 available to sell in the future to new members who would like one.
Otherwise the PVC looks good enough to keep costs decent.

I would be in for laser cut most def! I need a new patch to sport when I go back down range I have 3 so far! Plenty of real estate to pack more on, I have some space on my OTV, my Kevlar, and my polo + Cap that has space...  :rocknroll2:
