Not seeing a lot of coverage on this (of course)

Quote
According to the Arlington Voice, the manager of the Zona Caliente Sports Bar and Grill, 37-year-old Cesar Perez, was shot dead by James Jones, 48, of Grand Prairie. Witnesses say Jones was acting very oddly when he confronted Perez.

“When the suspect came in, he walked up to the bar and started yelling,” said police spokesperson Lt. Christopher Cook. “Customers said he was yelling incoherent and strange things.”

With no warning, Jones drew his gun and fatally shot Perez. Police cannot establish any connection Jones may have had with the restaurant manager.

It was then that an unidentified man police are calling the “Good Samaritan” told his wife to get down, and drew his own concealed firearm. The “Good Samaritan” then opened fire on Jones, and hitting him.

and it's not trending on twitter or Facebook, so I guess it didn't really happen....
In Texas, "He needed killin' " is a defense to prosecution.

Interesting.

A man who police are describing as a “Good Samaritan” happened to be at the bar carrying a concealed weapon when the shooting unfolded.

Good on the Arlington Police/DA.  I don't support 51% laws, but my understanding is that the blue still outlaws carry at the bar.

The TABC "Blue" sign does not outlaw licensed concealed carry.

of course it's because the MSM and the PTB do not
want it widely known that a law abiding citizen can
defend their life and possibly save other lives by
shooting a psycho bent on mayhem and murder.
they also never point out that the majority of these
killers have some kind of history of bad behavior and
psychotic actions and many times a criminal record,
yet, they're out running the streets willy-nilly.
the one that did all the shooting up the street here
had a long criminal past and was under FBI and ATF
scrutiny, yet he still killed one plus his self and
critically injured a fire rescue EMT and a civilian.

hard rock fact is there are many that need to be
put down and buried, but we can't seem to find
the cods necessary to do it. when we do that,
there's never a moment's worry about them ever
again. we've never had to worry about people
like ted bundy doing any more mischief.
Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee,

Ranger99,

EXACTLY SO. = As just a single example, a few weeks ago a neighbor of mine STOPPED an armed burglar inside his house using his .30-30WCF deer rifle & held the criminal for SAPD.
(The 22YO criminal was armed with a loaded .32ACP pistol.)

THE EXPRESS NEWS didn't report the incident at all.
(NOT even under "Police News".)

WMAL "News-Talk Radio 1200" (AM  radio) said that: An armed burglar was apprehended & jailed by SAPD last evening in Government Hill Historic District.
(Not even WMAL, which is well-known to be a CONSERVATIVE radio station, told the whole story.)

yours, satx
