Shiloh IDPA - 4/12/12
« on: April 10, 2012, 10:34:56 PM »
Actually managed to put the stages together before the day of the match. Put a little theme together for the stages where they flow from one to the next.

There may be some tweaks, but here are 4 of the stages we'll shoot this Thursday.

Did I choose this spot to camp? Part 1.
You're camping deep in the woods with your significant other, and while using the facilities you get ambushed.

18 rounds, short range

Did I choose this spot to camp? Part 2.
While trying to save your significant other, she gets taken. Luckily, one of the bad guys was knocked out, so you find out where they’re taking her - they have a marijuana field a half mile away. When you get there, you see your significant other and rescue her.

18 rounds, long range

Did I choose this spot to camp? Part 3.
Your significant other has a bullet in her left leg, so you have to fight your way to one of the bad guy’s Jeeps while carrying her. Get her to the Jeep safely - while you're helping her into it, more bad guys show up and your strong hand is occupied.

16 rounds, short range

Did I choose this spot to camp? Part 4.
Your significant other is injured, but can still drive with her right foot. Lean out the back of the Jeep and eliminate your pursuers.

18 rounds, long range

***

70 required rounds in these 4 stages. There will be additional stages as time permits - shorter skill drills.

Looks like fun!

When it says "tactical sequence" is that just closest to furthest?

These won't be the easiest stages for a first timer, but they will be fun to shoot. If you've never shot IDPA before, now's your chance  :rocknroll2:

Tactical sequence is everybody gets one shot before anyone gets a second shot. Typically used when you're in the open with multiple threats (if you're blasting just one target repeatedly, the others are spending that time attacking you or closing the distance to you).

Tactical priority (which is the default) is:
A) near to far
B) "slicing the pie" around a barricade (you shoot them as you see them as you move around a barricade edge)

Wow Adam, these indeed don't look to be easy, especially with so many 3 round targets and so many targets per stage.
Should be a fun challenge though so good job.
