"Stand your ground" defense rightfully denied. Sounds like this retired police captain just didn't like the fact that the victim wouldn't "respect my authoritah!", and tried to justify it after the fact with BS.

Dood was a cold blooded murderer trying to get away with it because he lost his temper and shot someone.   I'm surprised he didn't kill someone when he was a cop. Maybe he did and we don't know!

Sounds like some ego involved.  His police record would be interesting to see.
