I'll be setting aside a little $$ for an LCR (always wanted one) and an LCP II (something small to throw in a pocket holster for class or quick trip to corner store).

Saving some "mad money" for yet another Model 760 pump-rifle; this one is in .257 Roberts. = I understand that there is a suitable example for sale at a pawn shop in the Waco area.

For 2017 I have no idea. For the last 6 years I've been buying the guns that I've been wanting for a long time and now I have them and now that we have a republican president it's more of the do I really need another? One year I bought 10 guns, this year maybe one or two? Most of the guns I want now are in the several thousands of dollars range. The wife would shit bricks if she knew I paid $3,000+ for a gun (seeing that my car is worth less than that, haha). But I do like the new M&P 2.0. I can't say I will get one but if the price is right I might.
I call my AR-15 Anne; she's pretty and likes to accessorize. My AK-47 is known as Frank, he won't stop no matter how dirty he is. Oh and when the gov't comes look'n for 'em, they be hid'n in the attic!

There will not be a Republican president or Congress forever,
that really should have no influence on purchases. (other than prices are low)

you might be correct.....but, hopefully, for at least the next 8-12 years - I could care less "who's in" after that   :wave1:

I just don't let who is in the whitehouse influence whether I buy something or not.

I remember a post on this forum by someone who didn't want to buy an AR because of fear that Obama and the dems were going to ban/confiscate them.
To me that was just as silly as thinking.... the R's are in, no worries.

something about "don't count chickens...." or something.....

Yeah they seem to forget that R's have signed numerous gun control laws.

Not all that far fetched.

REDDING, Calif. - A new California law takes effect January 1 that allows legally-owned guns to be confiscated if family or friends believe the owner is a threat to themselves or others.

I never said it was far fetched.
I'm just not living my life by who is in power or what somebody might do in the future.

Most likely, I will be dead before confiscation happens.
If not, well, then I will be.

JohnnyDollar; All,

IF the current LUNGE to the FAR LEFT by the DIMocRATS Party continues, they will NEVER win the WH or a majority in either house of Congress again.

The DIMs already are a Left/Right Coast party already & every day that passes their "stock" falls in value.

I might not be buying a ton-o-guns this year, but I was bored at work today and was gun surfing (on my phone, not work computer). Started looking and that damn AR build bug began biting me. Now I'm thinking of a total custom AR starting with a striped lower then installing a Timney or a Geissele trigger. Then finish the lower and over the summer begin the upper, might use a different caliber than 5.56/.223, maybe .308?

The Giessele trigger is nuts. I've seen one in action before, doing a 100 round mag dump; it rocked.

what was that "trigger" that allowed a round to be fired when it was pulled but also allowed a round to be fired when released ?

Fostech sells "The Echo" trigger, and I think there is at least one other one out there....

I have not,
somehow I can't imagine it being much more than a waste of ammo.

Maybe fun once or twice at the range..... if your range allows rapid fire.

have read where pig hunters have found this useful..  I'm not an AR guy but would like to see something like this on a PCC or on a DDI shotgun

and, of course, anyone can do a mag/clip "dump" (of ammo) with any firearm - especially if they're making a youtube vid or once if they've access to a private range, but I think this would be a great option on a HD weapon

I dunno.

I have watched the youtube videos and while I think they look fun, I dunno if I would actually part with ~$500 for one.

I'm thinking if I need an echo trigger or a drum magazine for HD,
I got big problems at my house.....  :help:

I am kind of interested in the geissele SSA for my carbine.

ETA: and watching the youtube videos, other than a fast mag dump,
aimed fire at targets doesn't really look much, if any faster than I can shoot with a regular trigger.

Plus, it looks like it takes some skill to get the timing right,
it's not just a matter of working the trigger as fast as you can.

They seem to be on backorder everywhere,
if you get one, I would be interested in your review.  :thumbsup1:
