Sounded like downtown friggin' Aleppo down here.

Not for the sounds of the fireworks going off mind you, but for all the sirens we heard running back and forth all night, including like 8-9 of them in roughly an hour. I think somebody a few blocks up the street might have accidentally blown themselves up too, for all the screaming we heard all the way over where we were. I can only wonder at the locker-room pep-talk the EMT's were giving themselves yesterday morning; they definitely stayed busy tonight.

Things have wound down though thank god, and nobody (that we know) caught a stray round returning to Earth. Considering we set the record for how quickly in a year had to call the police like 6 minutes into New Years 2016, New Years 2017 technically is already off to a much better start - let's hope the year stays that friggin' way.
