Fairly new to THIS forum myself. But welcome from PA. Not in your area , so cant help there.
As far as conceal carry, I have been conceal carrying for 29 years.
My advice would be a couple things.
Make sure you are VERY familiar with your weapon of choice. Shoot often & Learn how to tear it down and clean it often. That really helped my wife get comfortable with her conceal carry, which, if needed in a crisis, working the weapon will come naturally.
If you can find someone experienced to help train you that would be a bit of help, just beware the you tube self declared experts.
KNOW the laws in you state inside and out, for conceal carry and protecting yourself.
And if , God for bid, you have to shoot someone, YOU call the police if possible. Thats important. they generally go with the first story told and YOU can control the tempo of their response. . " I shot them, my life was in danger, and theres the gun. ". Then shut up.
Tell the police you are too upset to make a statement at this time, and will make one just as soon as you have an attorney present.
Remember, ANYTHING you say CAN be used to prosecute you, but WONT be used to help you.
The less said until you have an attorney present, the better.
My daughter in law has the Sig 938, and even being a big CZ fan myself, I really liked it. A very fine weapon indeed. I carry a 75d PCR or P01, and my wife carrys a 2075d rami. We prefer the decockers. But she also really liked the Sig 938.
Good luck, and be careful.
