SEEKING a BOTTOM POUR Lead-Melting Pot
« on: July 25, 2016, 12:51:28 PM »
Friends,

I'm looking for a GOOD/USED "bottom pour" lead melting pot that will hold at least 10 pounds of lead. - I want to "speed up" my "homebrew bullet casting" from manual to a quicker method. = HAND-dipping out of a open pot with a ladle works OK, but it's DEADLY SLOW.

Brand, photos & price in your 1st PM, PLEASE.

yours, satx

I have a Lee Precision 20 Pound Pro 4. The pot stands high enough that you can also cast using some of the taller molds (Think 6 to 10 oz bank sinkers) and heats up quickly. The bottom pour feature may or may not leak a little in between pours, a little jiggle seals it up. It is less expensive and seems to be durable. I recommend getting this model it holds a goodly amount of lead, it simply works and works well. Mine, is not for sale.

Decoy71,

THANKS, though I was hoping that one of "our crowd" had a good used one for sale.
(I'm on a small pension & am quite willing to buy a good used melting furnace.)
