NOBODY from Dallas kneeled DURING the National Anthem.

he wimped-out.....playing the issue both ways - "America's Team", my butt

you don't drop to one knee at any time, period.....you don't link arms at any time, period.....you don't raise a fist at any time, period.....anything other than standing in the traditional manner for the Anthem is giving our Country the finger, period

The Cowboys are changing their name... to The Weasels and I understand they’re having a new Logo design contest.  Winner gets lifetime season tickets in the box next to Jerry Jones!

Tango,

IF the Cowboys were going to do anything (and I believe that they should have done NOTHING whatever), I'd sooner it be linking arms  at any time  & NOT KNEELING during the national anthem.

Semantics:  I don’t play that game.
(And based on the boos heard in the stadium, neither do the “NFL fans”)

busykngt,

Personally, I think that the NFL "management" is DEAD WRONG on this "kneeling issue" & is VIOLATING it's OWN stated policy.
(Stated NFL policy states that all on-scene players/coaches/staff MUST stand respectfully & face the flag during the national anthem.)

Btw, the coaches/players/staff are AT WORK & I know of NO private business that allows their employees to protest any public policy issue AT WORK, especially when their actions brings bad publicity to the business.

ImVho, the NFL commissioner (IF he had any guts) would SUSPEND or BAN anyone who is a player/coach/staffer who does not conform to the NFL's own policy.
(He is obviously a weak-kneed little nothing.)

ah.....and because the commissioner won't "do anything" there's reason for the owners to take the "correct" stand - but jones is like the rest - he's a coward

Yep!  He (Jones) was just trying to “walk that fine line” - and I suspect, all he did was make matters worse.  (Time will tell).

Personally, I think the NFL may be on the verge of loosing an entire generation of fans if they’re not careful!  The highly charged political atmosphere that exists today is a lot more vengeful than what existed during the MLB strike of a few years ago.

I heard that when the players kneel, they aren't protesting but are praying that the have the energy after the game to beat their wives and girlfriends.

Petition demands Baltimore Ravens take down Ray Lewis' statue after his anthem protest

The backlash against the #TakeAKnee movement is now hitting a retired NFL legend.

"A Change.org petition soon popped up online urging Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti to take down the bronze statue of Lewis, which was erected in 2014 and depicts him doing his signature pre-game dance.
More than 30,000 people have signed a petition urging the removal of Ray Lewis' statue from in front of M&T Bank Stadium, home of the NFL's Baltimore Ravens.
Lewis knelt with other Ravens players during the playing of the National Anthem before the team's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in London. That didn't sit well with some fans, despite his iconic status with the franchise. Lewis played all 17 of his NFL seasons with the Ravens and helped the team win two Super Bowls. He retired in 2012. "

That's 30,000 paying customers (as of right now) ...  the NFL better wake up and get their heads out of the a$$'s!!

Thats called being held accountable for YOUR actions.

He wants to act like an ignorant arrogant a$$hole,, he needs treated like one.
SAME with the rest of them.

I was reading an article where Thursday night football viewers were down by 40%
Friday, advertisers started pulling their ads.
The main clothing company for the nfl said they are done making cheap clothing as a sponsor, and done making nfl clothing period.
direct TV said they would refund anyone who bought nfl ticket on cable.
nfl ticket sales down already by 34%.

This is going to cost them 100's of millions by the end of the season, and it hasnt really even started yet.
It just hasnt showed up on paper yet.

I say GOOD for them. They started this childish ignorant crap and the nfl allowed it against their own rules.
Now they can pay for it.  :thumbsup1:
