ABU GARCIA MODEL 10,000 CASTING REEL FOR SALE
« on: April 08, 2017, 07:25:10 PM »
Friends,

Up for sale is my Abu Garcia Model TEN THOUSAND & SWEDISH-MADE saltwater casting reel in GREAT condition.
(I don't get to go saltwater fishing any more as my lady is now an invalid & thus weekend trips to the Coast are just impossible.)

Note that this is NOT one of the cheaply-made RED CHINESE-made "junk reels" that are now made & "branded" Ambassadeur. - It is one of the BEST surf-casting reels ever made, too.
(This Ambassadeur 10,000 is BLACK in color.)

125.oo CASH (firm) or trade for a PAIR of Ambassadeur 5000/5500 series reels.

email me to see/buy the reel: texasnative46@gmail.com

THANKS, satx

If it is a left hand configuration, I will buy it.

dred,

IF you mean that you use your strong hand to fight the fish & your right hand to turn the handle, it's more than suitable for a Left-handed fellow. ==> That's why I bought it originally.
 (I'm a Southpaw.)

A "left handed" bait casting setup puts the winding handle on the left side of the reel.

dred

OK, though that seems counter-intuitive to me. = I've always fought fish with my stronger hand/arm & cranked the handle with the one that's weak..

SORRY that I don't have what you want.

No problems. And, it is strange to me as well.   My first reels were open bail Diawa's - they were cranked with my left hand, so ...

The nice part about it is that I never have to jack with a miswound, surprise filled reel - 'cause nobody else uses mine.

I don't have a true dominant side. Most of my behaviors present right side dominant 'cause my father raised me in a right handed world. Dinners were funny cause I always had to wait for an adult to pick up their knife 'cause I could never remember which hand didn't get me in trouble.
