gun belt/heavy gun

Stainless revolver. Ruger GP100. 3" barrel.
I wear a 1.75" 5.11 5 stitch wilderness belt. Anyone else like a wider belt than stock 1.5"???
Carry 24-7 or Guess right.

papabear,

My EDC gun-belt is a 2" extra thick Western belt by El Paso Saddlery. = It's over 2 decades old & still is FINE.

Do you wear that like a duty belt over pants belt loops or do you have pants w/ a 2" belt loop???
I have been considering doing that since I saw it several weeks ago at Love Star Charley's here in Angelina County.

papabear,

Truthfully, I wear jeans, an untucked golf shirt & boat shoes/western boots most of the time since I retired, so the 2" belt-width works fine. - Otoh, in the few cases where I still have to wear a coat/tie (INFREQUENT!), I pick trousers that have >2" belt looks.

Fwiw, I still have my old 2.25" wide3 "River-style" duty belt but haven't had reason to wear it since I retired.

Well ... I run 1.5" all the time ... xcept'n 1.25" for the pants that can't handle 1.5s.

I'm on black 1.5 number 2 (first served me for 6 years).  I gifted number 1 to a young man that wouldn't listen and he wears it every day.

I have very few pants that could handle 1.75 or 2".

Anything from El Paso Saddlery is an excellent choice in my book.

You are to be congratulated! Over a 20 year span I wish I could say that I've never had to change belt sizes, LOL! :icon_wink:

K-Texas,

You can thank my lady for "watching my weight" & NOT feeding me stuff that expands the belt size. - NOT anything that I did that's very special' all to her CREDIT.

Fwiw, I can still comfortably fit into the ROTC uniform that I wore as a cadet in 1965-69.
