....And this photo album was the result.

Not real big on cars, but I love photography and still life, architectural, and landscape are my favorite subjects. I was also putting my digital camera (a pocket point-and-shoot) to the test, which I have not yet had many chances to do -- I was pleased with the result, and, most importantly, after 275 photos and IIRC 9 short videos, this sucker still had over 75% power left in it.

Not too shabby for a day's shooting, I think.

I'm a fledgling photog also, those are some good looking pics. What amazes me about photography that I've learned is that you can several hundred photos and only get a few that are worth while to show.

Boy howdy, I'll definitely agree to that.

Having to put up with the considerable time and expense of having to get my 35MM film developed when I was first starting out, reeeeeeeeally helped teach me to study my subject, angle, lighting, shot composition, exposure settings, etc. before I randomly squeezed off a shot willy nilly.

I've gotta say, the proliferation of small, powerful digital cameras and SDXC memory cards has revolutionized humanity as we know it.

When traveling overseas, I ran into a Time photographer doing a piece on the Pyramids.  I asked him how many of his pics made it into the magazine.  He said about 1 out of 100 would make it into an article, and about 1 in a thousand (or more) would make the cover.  I think that ratio echoes, but maybe not quite the same stringent requirements of Time.
