President Adams was correct....
« on: May 19, 2018, 11:02:17 AM »
Not much of a gripe or rant, I simply understand his statement.

Another founding father that had great insight.

Our second president stated:
Quote
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Obviously, we are no longer particularly religious or moral.

While there is a vocal segment that may not be, I expect the overall majority still is.
Think about it:  There's no money from advertisers for news that's along the lines of "and today, everyone was honest, honorable and decent."

An insightful democracy and republics are hard for the citizenry, compared to monarchies, oligarchies and dictatorships.
Making an informed decision by a population requires intelligence and study.
Adams was right.

While I don't totally disagree with the thought that there is a very vocal minority,
when I see the culture of death we have created here, it seems there is little value placed on life, little consideration of other people, etc.

People killing each other for no particular reason and seems they have no remorse.
Seems if you even think that there should be any restrictions on abortions, you are considered a right-wing nutjob.
People running around/driving totally oblivious to other people.
People are so absorbed with what they want and how they feel, they show no consideration towards how they are impacting others.

You see it in your everyday life.

When I grew up, the thought was "Do what you like as long as you are not hurting other people" and if you see someone doing something you don't like, you move on.

The thought now seems to be .... I do what I want, and I don't care who I hurt or inconvenience.
Plus, you can't ignore me, you HAVE to like and accept my choices and not make any judgement or you are the bad person.

In short, the snowflakes and liberals have raised several generations of Godless heathen narcissist.

And it shows.
Politicians are like diapers, they should be changed often, and for the same reason.

There are two kinds of people in the world my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. YOU DIG.  " Blondie".

Well, any man that wouldnt cheat at cards for a poke, dont want one bad enough. " Gus".
