9x19 (9mm) NATO vs. 9mm Luger

Round placement aside

Can someone tell me where I can find info on this or if someone can answer the question……

Which 9mm ball ammo has better stopping power … 9x19 (9mm) NATO 124 Gr. or 9mm Luger 147 Gr.

High power vs. mass

AKM47,

It depends on the loading. = There are standard loads in  9x19mm, Plus P & Plus P Plus.

Everything else being equal, the 147 is THE STOPPER in 9mm.

147 is good but the subsonic 165 is a very soft recoil.

Who make a 165 Gr.

I can't find anything above 147 in ball

147gr is about the best commonly available for FMJ, but yeah heavier shoots softer.

I'm not sure that there is enough difference between 124 & 147 in ball ammunition to make that much difference.
I would be more interested in which weight is most accurate in my pistol.

Since you specify stopping power,
I am curious why you would choose FMJ  vs. JHP?

Yeah, but at nearly double the price of their 147gr ball, which is already subsonic...no thanks.

I had it in my head that the NATO was equivalent to a +P.  I'd rather have 124gr+P than 147gr.

For Home defense, I prefer a slightly larger, 650 - 822 gr round.

Actually not.  If someone is within 5' in front of the muzzle, the blast is going to singe your hair and eyeballs, burst your eardrums and disorient you as you fall to the ground.  Then Tinkerbell the Doberman chews off your nuts and lets you exsanguinate.
